2026 Taiwan Baseball / Taipei Baseball Ticket Guide (CPBL)

Taiwan baseball is a ‘big-hitter’ and one of the country’s most popular sports.

The 2026 Taiwan baseball season officially starts on Saturday 28 March 2026 at the Taipei Dome, across two seasons (with the second season starting in July 2026).

Play-offs for the top three teams are held later in the year to decide the championship series winners. The play offs consist of the first season and second season winners plus the best performing third team.

Called the ‘Chinese Professional Baseball League’, 2026 Taiwan baseball will likely be more popular than ever, after Taiwan’s national baseball team’s recent success, including a historic win at the ‘Premier21 Championship’ in December 2024.

National parades were held to mark the victory and even the Taipei New Year fireworks and Taiwan Lantern Festival had baseball themed celebrations.

Recently, a brand new purpose built Taipei Dome opened plus the league expanded to six teams with the addition of TSG Hawks – Taipei’s Rakuten Monkeys won the 2025 CPBL championship.

2024 was also a big year for Taiwan baseball as the brand new purpose built Taipei Dome opened plus the league expanded to six teams with the addition of TSG Hawks – Taichung’s CTBC Brothers won the 2024 championship.

From prices to dates, here is our guide to getting Taiwan baseball tickets in in 2026 – CPBL 2026 tickets are now on sale and we bought our opening game Rakuten Monkey tickets at Taipei Dome for just NT$500 using a Taiwan 7-Eleven iBon kiosk machine.

A brief overview of CPBL / Taiwan Baseball

The 2026 baseball season in Taiwan runs from 28 March 2026 until October 2026.

Baseball is a huge sport in Taiwan and the 2026 Chinese Professional Baseball League season is the 37th season.

The CPBL has a Major League with six teams and a Minor League (also with 6 teams).

There are 6 teams in the ‘Major’ Taiwan baseball / CPBL series which are:

When and where to watch Taiwan Baseball

The 2026 Taiwan baseball / CPBL games can usually be seen 6 days a week during baseball season – it is only Monday when there are no baseball games played (and the odd other day). Games are generally played late afternoon or early evening.

This means that if you are visiting Taiwan this year from 28 March 2026 onwards to October 2026 during the Taiwan baseball / CPBL, there will likely be many Taiwan baseball games a week you can catch live at a stadium.

Alternatively, all CPBL Taiwan baseball games are televised – most Taiwan bars also show the live or recorded baseball games.

Taiwan baseball tickets / Taipei baseball

Depending on the time of the season, you can normally pick up Taiwan baseball tickets at the respective stadium box offices – we bought our 2026 CPBL opening baseball game tickets from 7-Eleven Taiwan very easily which we’ll show you how to do later in the article.

However, towards the play-offs and series championships (and possibly opening weekend), it may be difficult to get in person tickets.

CPBL baseball tickets start from as low as NT$400 for outfield tickets with other tickets costing upwards of NT$1,400 each (front row seats are more) – Taiwan baseball ticket prices correct as of March 2026.

Buying Taiwan Baseball Tickets from 7-Eleven and FamilyMart

Most Taiwan baseball tickets can be bought easily from Taiwan 7-Elevens and Familymart but you do need a Taiwan phone number to do this – so if you don’t have this yet or aren’t in Taiwan, it is best to skip to the next section.

We bought our Taiwan baseball tickets for the 2026 CPBL opening game from a Taiwan 7-Eleven using their iBon ticket kiosks. Most baseball teams tickets can be bought from these machines (we bought Rakuten Monkeys / Taipei Dome baseball tickets from a 7-Eleven iBon kiosk the day tickets went on sale).

The process for using 7-Eleven iBon and FamilyMart Famiport ticket machines is basically the same but below is the step-by-step process for buying Taiwan baseball tickets from 7-Eleven.

Here is our step by step guide to buying baseball tickets at 7-Eleven (the FamilyMart process is pretty much the same – you will likely need to use Google Translate on your phone too).

1 – Find a 7-Eleven store with an iBon ticket machine and select the ‘ticketing button’.

2 – Select ‘baseball’ on the second row, then on the next screen select the first button (buy tickets).

Choose ‘buy tickets’

3 – You will then be taken to a page with a grid featuring all the baseball tickets / teams / events that are available.

Pick the team you want to see – note you can’t do it based on location so maybe work out ahead of going to 7-Eleven which team / location you want to go. We wanted to see a game at Taipei Dome so we used the CPBL schedule to work out what teams were playing here and when.

We wanted to see Rakuten Monkeys play the opening game at Taipei Dome so we picked the Rakuten Monkey logo and were then prompted to pick a date.

4 – Agree to the terms and conditions and then on the next screen you can pick your date. A whole range of ticket options / prices will appear on the iBon screen.

5 – You will then be taken to a screen with a stadium map. It will also indicate which sectors / zones are already sold out.

We picked NT$500 tickets in the outer area of Taipei Dome stadium. You can pick the zone but the actual seat numbers are automatically allocated to you. Please note there is NO additional booking fee so the price you see is the price you pay.

Choose your seats

6 – Pick your tickets and confirm how many you want.

7 – Enter your cell phone number. As mentioned before, you need a Taiwan telephone number to proceed – check out our Taiwan SIM guide here.

Enter your cell phone number

8 – Once you enter your Taiwan phone number and hit enter, you receive a printed receipt from the iBon kiosk – please note this is NOT your ticket.

You now have 10 minutes to take this to the 7-Eleven counter, give them the receipt and then pay for the tickets. The cashier will then print and issue you your Taiwan baseball tickets from the till.

Taiwan Baseball online tickets

Sadly, there isn’t a one-stop website where you can buy Taiwan baseball tickets for all teams and games.

Please note the booking process varies for each and some are just in Mandarin:

Taiwan Baseball Tickets Prices in 2026

Going to a Taiwan baseball game is a fun activity for all the family and actually not too expensive compared to other sporting games and stadiums around the world.

The cost of Taiwan baseball tickets obviously depends on where you are sitting but it can be a very inexpensive evening out – Taiwan baseball tickets start from NT$400 as of March 2026 – we paid NT$500 for our outfield tickets at Taipei Dome to see Rakuten Monkeys in March 2026.

Taiwan baseball tickets FamiTicket

Outfield tickets at selected stadiums usually start from only NT$400 for children (around £9 or $12 USD) whilst the average price is usually between NT$1,000 to NT$1,800.

Don’t forget to take some additional money to buy food and drink inside the stadium plus some baseball merchandise to bring home; these will make for excellent Taiwan souvenirs.
