Taipei’s Best Buffet Restaurants Guide with 2026 Prices

You will never go hungry in Taiwan, especially with so many Taipei buffet restaurants to suit all budgets – from high-end buffets like A Joy (literally ‘high-end as it is the top of Taipei 101) to dedicated vegetarian buffets, there are so many places to fill up in Formosa.

A Joy buffet

Below are several Taipei buffets that we’ve personally been to (plus one other suggestion) – the cheapest cost just NT $120 a portion, whilst you pay more for a more premium buffet selection.

Featuring a popular Taipei hot pot buffet, several hedonistic hotel buffets plus luxury lunches, here is our guide to the best Taipei buffets with prices and photos.

A Joy opened in July 2023 and has quickly become one of the most sought after luxury dining experiences in Taiwan. Their huge buffet includes premium dishes including lobster, king crab, oysters and A5 Wagyu beef, plus cocktails.

The restaurant is themed around Taiwan’s landscapes and the dining area is divided into themed zones such as mountain, sea, and city.

We had such an amazing evening eating our way through so many delicious foods and tasty cocktails.

The dinner session starts at 6pm and you can stay until 9.30pm (which we did of course!). We had our ‘Taiwanderers’ buffet strategy (we are all about planning!) so we started with the more expensive dishes – A5 wagyu beef, lobsters and scallops.

The views from the restaurant of Taipei and the cityscape are usually amazing (albeit a little cloudy on the evening we visited in March 2026). If we were to return again to A Joy (which we would love to) we think we would book the lunch spot for daytime views instead of night views.

As well as eating, you can also enjoy their light installation shows, write a postcard to your friends or family that they will post to anywhere in the world (for free!) and take photos of yourselves in special dedicated photo zones around the buffet.

The easiest way for international visitors to book A Joy is on Klook (however it is more expensive than booking directly). The official website is a bit harder for foreigners to use as it is not an instant booking platform and requires a Taiwan phone number.

Fruitful Food 果然匯 (chain)

A common question in our Taipei Travel Tips (TTT) Facebook group is about asking for vegetarian restaurants – Fruitful Food (果然匯) is one of the best known Taipei vegetarian buffet chains (so much so, that you usually need to book in advance).

Luckily some Fruitful buffets can be booked online easily without needing a Taiwanese phone number.

We booked a lunchtime slot at the Tianmu branch of Fruitful Food – Taipei Dayeh Takashimaya B1 (map) and paid NT$790 each including service and tax for a two buffet including soft drinks and all food. We booked directly on their website but it is also available to prebook on Klook.

We liked the Fruitful Food buffet in Taipei, as clearly did the locals as it was rammed with Taiwanese families. There is a lot of vegetarian and vegan food to savour plus there are QR codes and allergen notices dotted all around the restaurant.

Based on the Fruitful Food we went to, there were around three long stations of hot and cold vegetarian food which you serve yourself.

There were also three hot stations where chefs were cooking up creations like braised vegetarian beef soup with udon noodles (very good), vermicelli with black sesame oil, spicy hot bean curd, crispy risotto cake with creamed corn or tempura mushroom.

Honestly, there was a lot of food, from vegetarian sushi and vegan nigiri to steamed buns, turnip cake to salads, plus lots of dishes like tofu pastry, baked vegetables with miso sauce (so good), steamed mushroom soup (served in cute little kettles) and much much more.

Plus lots of sweet treats, chopped fruits, warm rice desserts and unlimited fresh smoothies, tea and coffee plus a well stocked cabinet of soft drinks and canned juices – you won’t go hungry or thirsty at Taiwan’s Fruitful Food buffets.

Mala Hot Pot (chain)

You might have already heard about this popular Taiwan hot pot buffet chain – there are several Mala Hot Pots restaurants in Taipei including branches in Ximending, Xinyi, Datong and several more.

When someone told us there were branches of Mala Hot Pot where they serve unlimited alcohol we were on their booking site faster than a bullet from a gun.

We dined in Taipei’s Gongguan neighborhood at Mala Hot Pot 馬辣頂級麻辣鍋 台北公館店 (map) and enjoyed two hours of tasty buffet hot pot with free flow alcoholic drinks (self pour beer, wine and cocktails), plus Häagen-Dazs and Movenpick ice cream. All for $NT798 each (£19 / $25USD).

There are three different hot pot packages you can choose from. We went for the basic option, but the more expensive ones include shrimp and wagyu beef. However there were plenty of seafood items for us to enjoy from the self-serve buffet.

Each table has a split pot and can choose from seven different types of soup base. Most tables in the restaurant seemed to have gone for the signature mala spicy option so we decided to give that a go along with the garlic clam chicken option. We really regretted the mala version as it uses Sichuan peppercorns which made our mouths far too numb!

Mala Hot Pot buffet pricing

Please note there are 3 different versions of the Mala Hot Pot restaurant which all have slightly different menus and pricing tiers:

  • Mala (Original 馬辣): The most budget-friendly option.
  • New Mala (Xin Mala 新馬辣): The meat quality is higher than the original brand.
  • New Mala Plus+ (新馬辣 Plus+): The luxury version of the chain with high-end ingredients like marbled wagyu beef, a wider seafood selection and an upgraded drink section.
  • Lunch (weekday): Typically around NT$698 to NT$798
  • Dinner and weekends: Typically around NT$798 to NT$998

A 10% service charge is standard and there is a strict two hour dining limit. All prices are correct as of March 2026.

Taipei Grand Hyatt Cafe buffet restaurant

A great Xinyi hotel to stay in, Taipei Grand Hyatt also has one of the best dinner buffets in Taipei – Café Grand Hyatt Taipei (map), which includes several serving stations, decadent desserts plus self-serve beer – cheers / ganbae!

The buffet was great and had a fantastic selection of food. We loved the deep fried scallops, sashimi, mussels and prawns, plus some of the tasty meats such as roast beef and lamb chops. The truffle risotto was also delightful.

There was so much food to choose from. One thing we did note was that if you are vegetarian, then the hot food selection isn’t that great.

Taipei Regent Hotel buffet – 台北晶華酒店栢麗廳 Brasserie

The Regent hotel in the Zhongshan neighbourhood has one of the best dinner buffets in Taipei – 台北晶華酒店栢麗廳 Brasserie (map), which includes several serving stations, decadent desserts plus unlimited drinks.

We booked the afternoon tea buffet which was amazing and had a great selection of food considering it offered a smaller range of food compared to lunch and dinner.

We loved the roast beef, sashimi, prawns, clams in laksa sauce, Häagen-Dazs ice cream and passion fruit. Soft drinks were also available.

Miao Yuan vegetarian restaurant 妙緣素食館

If you’re craving veggies or an inexpensive vegetarian meal in Taipei, then check out Miao Yuan vegetarian restaurant 妙緣素食館 (map) near Taipei Main Station along Huaining Street.

After a night of beef noodles and pork buns, we wanted something without meat the next day – we usually head to ‘Miao Yuan’ vegetarian buffet as it is cheap with a good variety of dishes.

Meals are charged by weight and two huge plates (along with rice) came to $NT235 for two of us (so roughly $3.60 USD or £2.75 each).

Our final best Taipei best buffet

INPARADISE Breeze Xinyi Branch

A blissful buffet restaurant and all-you-cat utopia, INPARADISE (map) is a chain of Taipei buffet restaurants with a big branch on the 46th floor of Breeze Xinyi.

Note this is the only buffet on our list that we haven’t personally been to but it is highly recommended and we intend to go on our next Taiwan trip.

Serving oodles of noodles, choice Chinese cuisine and tasty Taiwanese tidbits, the experience is enhanced with incredible views over Xinyi including Taipei 101. Opened in 2017, INPARADISE has 8 serving sections and is a decadent dining experience in Taipei’s business district.

Reservations are recommended and you can book using this link on Klook. Seafood, sashimi and seasonal dishes are also available, along with rather strong cocktails!
