A luxury Taoyuan hotel perfect for families and near to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, a stay at COZZI Blu Taoyuan is the perfect way to start or end your Taiwan trip – in fact, it has so many cool features and nearby attractions, you could easily base yourself here for a longer trip.
Handily located next door to Taoyuan’s top attractions XPark Aquarium (map) and the famous Gloria Outlets mall (map), we spent a couple of nights at COZZI Blu Taoyuan.

We absolutely loved it, from the cool ocean theming and large spacious rooms to the delicious restaurants (including one of the best Taiwan buffets we’ve been to).
We think this is the perfect place to stay for families, with ocean themed activity rooms, serving robots galore, fun kid’s activities all around and even an indoor camping picnic area.
We stayed at COZZI Blu Taoyuan for two nights in March 2026 and enjoyed exploring nearby activities by day and enjoying the hotel restaurants and Blu Bar by night.
From facilities to food, attractions to our awesome room, here is our review – we were hosted by COZZI Blu Taoyuan.

Why stay at COZZI Blu Taoyuan?
There are many large resorts and hotels in Taoyuan but this is one of the newest hotels that opened in 2020 with some cool ocean themed interiors that would have even made Jacques Cousteau feel at home.

One of the key draws here is all the fun features which are ideal for families plus you are just steps away from XPark, an amazing aquarium and for our money, one of the best attractions in Taoyuan and even Taipei.
For an easy relaxing break, you could just stay at the hotel, eat onsite or in the nearby mall plus walk a few steps to Gloria Outlets, XPark, Taoyuan Qiaohu Dream Park or go the cinema – it can be as active or as laid back as you want to make it!

COZZI Blu Taoyuan is one of the best reviewed hotels near Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport – it currently has a 4.6/5 rating on Google and it also operates their AMAZZING CLUB membership programme offering various discounts and loyalty rewards.

Arriving at COZZI Blu Taoyuan and the local neighborhood
Less than 15 minutes by car / taxi from Taoyuan Airport, the hotel also offers a free regular shuttle bus to and from Taoyuan High Speed Rail train station and the local Taoyuan Metro Airport MRT line.
The COZZI Blu Taoyuan shuttle bus is free and runs daily from 10am to 4.45pm (correct as of April 2026). We used it to go from the hotel to the train station, to then jump on the MRT to the airport.

We actually arrived early by taxi from downtown Taipei and were greeted by the concierge who checked and looked after our bags all day whilst we explored local attractions. It was a lovely touch that our bags were already in our room when we checked in a few hours later.
When we returned for check-in around 3pm, everything was seamless and we also quite liked that check-in was all done on a tablet, saving paper too.
During our two nights at COZZI Blu Taoyuan, we visited X-Park (more on this later) and many malls, plus also walked to the nearby Gloria Outlets (map), Hengshan Calligraphy Art Park 橫山書法藝術公園 (map), home to the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center 橫山書法藝術館 (map) and the rather cool cafe 橫山水一方 (map).

Landmark Plaza (map) is in the building adjacent to the hotel and has various activities and shops plus lots of local and international restaurants – there is also a handy PX Mart supermarket and a new Poya store just across from the hotel too.
Our COZZI Blu Taoyuan hotel room
Honestly, after a two month trip to Taiwan and our final two nights being spent here, we really REALLY appreciated how big our hotel room was.
We stayed in a COZZI King room and there was lots of space to unpack in, a lovely lounge area overlooking a local lake plus a very comfortable bed.

Our COZZI Blu Taoyuan room also had the biggest TV we’ve ever encountered of any Taiwan hotel room we’ve ever stayed in.

Another really cool little feature was that the TV had a channel with a live feed to the main XPark aquarium next door so we could watch fish, stingrays and sharks live 24/7 – so cool!
And another TV channel showed planes taking off live from nearby Taoyuan Taipei International Airport – great for plane spotters or curious travellers like us.

Wi-Fi speed was also good and Netflix / streaming platforms could be viewed on the massive screen.
The bathroom was large and had separate bath and shower cubicles.

Another nice touch was that if you are short on any amenities or fancy a family activity like a board game bringing to the room, you can ask reception to send it up and the items will arrive on a penguin themed robot – how cool!

Facilities at COZZI Blu Taoyuan
We will come to restaurants and the Blu Bar shortly, but this Taoyuan hotel has all the usual facilities you’d expect which we made good use of!
Hotels with laundry rooms are always a bonus and COZZI Blu Taoyuan delivers here. We were at the end of our Taiwan trip and wanted all clean clothes for our next destination so this was very handy.
There is a washer and a dryer (coin operated with a change machine and detergent dispenser in the room).

Handily, there is also a stylish business center / lounge on the same floor, so whilst our clothes were being washed, we caught up on emails and Taiwanderers articles and enjoyed the complimentary coffee machine and free soft drinks. Local newspapers and magazines were also available to read.

Nearby, there is a well equipped gym at COZZI Blu Taoyuan or if e-sports / bar games are more your thing, you will find a games area outside Blu Bar.

In keeping with all the family fun, there is a Cabin Zone on level 3 which has weekend storytelling sessions for kids, daily hands-on activities plus a marvellous mini aquarium feature.

COZZI Blu Taoyuan bars and restaurants
During our two night stay, we ate at both the COZZI Blu Taoyuan restaurants – Cozzi Market for both breakfast and their evening buffet, plus the Yi Hui Xuan Chinese restaurant.
Yi Hui Xuan Chinese restaurant
For our first night, we tried the brand new tasting menu and welcome platter at Yi Hui Xuan Chinese restaurant (map) and it was exquisite, from the interior design and superb service to the sumptuous servings of fantastic food.

From classic dishes like sesame chicken noodles to more unusual but ultimately delicious dishes like deep fried rice puffs with seafood and lobster stock (snap, crackle and pop eh), it was an epic epicurean evening.

We were treated to a variety of flavors and dishes:
- Sesame chicken cold noodles, wheat gluten and crispy eel
- Stir fried sea prawn with sea urchin
- Shredded pork in sweet bean sauce with Mandarin pancake
- Braised tofu with sea cucumber and bamboo shoots
- Deep fried rice puffs with scallops, shrimp, sea cucumber, group and lobster stock
- Sweet almond tofu with peanuts – all washed down with traditional Taiwanese tea
Please note menus may vary seasonally.

Cozzi Market
The largest restaurant in the hotel, Cozzi Market (map) is a popular buffet with both hotel guests and hungry locals. Perfect for a family feast, there are many serving stations and it has different dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner servings.

We ate here for breakfast and again one night for dinner and the food quality and variety was excellent.
In the evenings and at lunch, you can also self-serve unlimited Asahi beer – ganbae / cheers! Soft drinks and tea / coffee are also available as well as juices, soy milk and slushie fruit smoothies.

The breakfast buffet had a mixture of traditional Taiwanese and international dishes so whether you want soup noodles, Taiwanese pancakes, eggs and bacon or a European continental breakfast, you will be well catered for here.

At night, there are many hot food stations including lots of meat and fresh veggies – we ate lots of juicy flat iron steak plus superb sashimi and sushi, plus various pasta and rice dishes followed of by decadent desserts. All in all, one of the best quality buffets we’ve been to Taiwan.

In Cozzi Market, there is also an indoor camping area which was installed a few years ago as a temporary feature but proved such a big hit with local families, it still remains to this day.

Blu Bar
COZZI Blu Taoyuan’s in-house bar raises the ocean theme to the next level with underwater style fixtures and fittings – you feel like you are onboard a cruise liner cum pirate ship.

Even Blu Bar’s signature Maritime Silk Road series cocktails are ocean inspired.
We tried the Turn Into Sea Foam cocktail blending vodka, jasmine and butterfly pea, plus the Icebreaker mocktail which is served with a huge ice cube shaped liked a sea liner – ‘water’ way to enjoy a cocktail! As we drank the Turn into Sea Foam cocktail it slowly revealed a shark inside the glass!

Blissful bar snacks are available until late at Blu Bar and we enjoyed fried soft shell crab, Sichuan style spicy chicken wings and ‘numb pepper’ edamame (loads of wasabi).

Spotlight on XPark
A quick mention of XPark next door to the hotel, as if you are staying here with family, this is such a good half day activity. We’ve been to many aquariums around the world but this is certainly one the best and a cross between an underwater palace and TeamLabs.

Featuring modern immersive installations plus a traditional animal area outside which is home to capybaras and goats, the star of the attraction here is the huge centerpiece aquarium (which you can watch on the live feed on your hotel room TV too), a penguin colony, plus seals at play.

There are various shows to watch during the day plus it has one of the best gift shops we’ve seen – and you can get a stamp to return later in the day if you want to return to the hotel at all and come back later.

COZZI Blu Taoyuan review and summary
A luxury hotel in Taoyuan with fun ocean themed surroundings, COZZI Blu Taoyuan is a truly top Taiwan stay, from the exquisite dining and bar options to the family activities on offer – plus so many other cool activities and shopping spots, all on the hotel doorstep.
Our bed and room were large and very comfy and we loved the lounge area and separate bath, plus we had the biggest TV of any hotel we’ve ever stayed in Taiwan (and so fun to watch the live XPark aquarium live feed day and night).

In fact, one of the most common questions in our Taiwan Travel Tips (TTT) Facebook group is which Taoyuan hotels are good and close to the airport – and COZZI Blu Taoyuan certainly delivers on this.
