The Taipei Hooters Xinyi Bar in Taiwan might be the best Hooters bar in the world – with an incredible rooftop bar terrace offering incredible views of Taipei 101 (plus a very ‘Happy Hour’), Hooters is one of the best bars in Taiwan for a fun night and cheap drinks.

Serving up American style diner food accompanied with American, European and Taiwanese beers, Hooters (near Taipei 101) is blessed with skyline views and located on the 14th floor of the Far Eastern Department Store Xinyi A13 Store.
Whilst some of the Hooter waitress outfits can be a tad revealing / skimpy, Hooters is a popular bar and great place to watch live sports in Taipei, including Taiwan baseball games (and live on the huge HDTV screens).
Hooters is also one of the best places to watch the Superbowl in Taipei (plus other live sports events).
Why should you visit? Taipei Hooters has huge… menus and is always busy for after-work drinks, lunch-time specials plus sunset sessions. Better yet, the happy hour at Xinyi runs every day from 3pm to 6pm and is buy 1 get 1 on selected draft beer.
From tipples to the rooftop terrace, the food menu to Hooters merchandise, here is our guide to visiting Taipei Hooters in Taiwan (+ photos) in 2024.

Taipei Hooters locations & opening hours
As of early 2024, there are currently two Taipei Hooters locations:
The Hooters Xinyi Branch (the most popular and biggest Taipei Hooters, near Taipei 101) is located at Far Eastern Department Store Xinyi A13 Store on the 14th floor (map). It has an indoor dining area plus a big outdoor terrace overlooking Xinyi and Taipei 101.
Hooters Xinyi Branch is open daily from 11am until 1am (and stays open until 2am on Friday and Saturdays)
Hooters Songshan branch is the second Taipei Hooters branch and is located near Nanjing Fuxing station (map).
Hooters Songshan is open daily from 11.30am until midnight (and open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays). It also has a lunch special menu and daily happy hour.

Taipei Hooters – why visit?
Hooters restaurants are well known around the world – there are over 420 Hooters restaurants in almost 30 countries, including the USA, UK, Taiwan and Thailand.
Hooters is perhaps best known for their good-looking waitresses serving big plates of food and Taipei Hooters is no different (but hopefully this is not your main reason for visiting).
Unlike other Hooters branches, Hooters Xinyi has one of the best rooftop bars in Taipei plus it has great food and drink specials including a 3.5 hour daily happy hour (more on this later).
Hooters is also one of the best spots to catch live sports including Taiwan baseball, UK Premier League football matches plus NFL games and the Super Bowl.
Based on our visits, you are as equally likely to see a family or young group of Taiwanese friends visit here as you are Taipei finance district workers or expats and tourists.

Hooters Taipei happy hour
The bar is very popular in the afternoons as the Happy Hour at Xinyi is ‘Buy 1, get 1 free’ and runs daily from 3pm to 6.30pm, including weekends – this is one of the best Happy Hours in Taipei!
Beers included on the Hooters Happy Hour include draft beers such as Carlsberg, Heineken, San Miguel and Taiwan Beer, plus Happy Hour on bottles (buy 1, get 1 free) includes Corona, Estrella Damm and Heinken Beer). To note American beers are not included on the happy hours.
Happy Hour beer prices at Hooters Taipei Xinyi are very cheap – for instance, the cheapest beers are San Miguel or draft Taiwan Beer.
A 500ml glass of beer costs NT$188 and s buy 1 get 1 free during happy hour so becomes NT$94 per 500ml beer.
Prices are correct as of April 2024 and exclude tax and service charge.

Taipei Hooters food menu and prices
Upon being seated, you’ll be offered a food menu which has around 30 pages of food and drinks – so it can take a long time to decide what to order!
The Hooters Taipei menu consists of classic American and Western food fare – dishes include sandwiches and slider burgers, tacos, ribs, steak, sides and more.
Food prices in Hooters are reasonable (plus even cheaper with their weekday lunch specials). For instance, curly fries cost NT$148 per portion, Tex Mex nachos NT$328 for a small portion (or $438 for a large portion) and a baja burger for NT$488.
We’ve tried the baja fish tacos and buffalo chicken salad at Hooters Taipei which we really enjoyed.
However, on our latest visit, we shared the Tex Mex nachos and didn’t really enjoy them (soggy nachos, not much meat and terrible squeezy cheese) – so the food can be a bit hit and miss depending on your tastes.

Hooters Taipei roof terrace and Taipei 101 views
The best bit about Xinyi Hooters is the outdoor deck – unless you are watching live sports on the screens inside, we’d recommend grabbing a table outside to soak up the Taipei 101 views (especially at sunset).
Be sure to reserve your tables in advance though if you want a prime position, especially at the weekends.

The ‘Breast’ Hooters beer glasses ever
If you are planning on visiting Taipei Hooters Xinyi, take a tip from us – order the draft Taiwan Beer during the Happy Hour.
Not only is it very cheap (it works out at $NT94 a pint – well, 500ml) but it is served in the special and rather curvy Hooters beer glasses. We weren’t expecting to be served such ‘shapely’ beer glasses so caveat emptor (but it does make for a unique photo opportunity).
Whilst the concept is rather out-dated (and a bit naff), it was quite a surreal experience – and if you want to buy such a Hooters beer glass / mug to take home, they can be bought for $NT499 in the merchandise shop inside the bar.

Merchandise to buy / souvenirs
If you are looking for a quirky souvenir, Hooters has got you covered (unlike some of the skimpy T-shirts they sell!).
Merchandise to buy includes caps for NT$650, branded bags for NT$599 plus Hooters Taipei beer glasses for NT$350.
