Taipei 7-Eleven Pokémon Store in Taiwan Guide + Photos

Opened in late 2024, Taipei is now home to a new 7-Eleven Pokémon – which is great news given the previous Pokémon 7-Eleven in the city closed down (due to being overrun by too many gamers).

Joining the other famous Pokémon 7-Eleven in Kaohsiung, this new Pokémon themed 7-Eleven was unveiled in November 2024 and joins an impressive roster of themed Taipei 7-Elevens.

It is also a great thing to combine with the Taiwan’s flagship Pokémon store located in Xinyi, Taipei.

As well as Pokémon theming and merchandise (from socks to snacks), you can buy all your 7-Eleven fave foods too!

So let’s check out the 7-Eleven Pokémon themed store in Taipei! It is one of over 100 themed 7-Elevens in Taiwan which includes Snoopy, Ultraman, Hello Kitty and Taiwan’s very own Bugcat Capoo.

Where is Taipei’s 7-Eleven Pokémon themed store?

As of November 2024,  there is currently only one 7-Eleven Pokémon store in Taipei (as the previous one removed the Pokémon branding a couple of years ago).

Located in the Wanhua District of Taipei, the Pokémon and Pikachu 7-Eleven is a 20 minute walk from the Guting Metro Station on the green Songshan – Xindian MRT line.

Arriving at Pokémon 7-Eleven Taipei

The first thing you notice is how yellow and brightly coloured the Pokémon store is – you certainly won’t miss it, with Pikachu, Piplup and friends looking out from above the store logo.

The entire store front is wrapped with gaming characters – Eevee even has its own roundel sign affixed to the front.

Pokémon 7-Eleven heaven

Once inside the store, you can see all the awesome attention to detail – this is peak Pokémon in Taipei.

There are 7-11 Pokémon graphics all over the store including Piplup peering down from the ceiling– gotta find them all!

You’ll also see several small Pikachus by the counter, plus characters hiding above all the fridges and chiller cabinets – literally so ‘cool!’

Sadly there doesn’t appear to be any Pokémon Ga-Olé arcade machines in this 7-Eleven. This is likely because the last time they had a Pokémon themed 7-Eleven in Taipei, the store got so overrun with school-kids they had to remove all the branding and machines.

7-Eleven Pokémon cafe

There is also a tiny (TINY!) themed seating area featuring all your favorite Pokémon characters.

Several seats resemble a Pokéball plus the table features character. We know there are Pokémon snacks like Pokémon soft serve ice-cream (which is bright yellow in color and served in a branded container) in other 7-Eleven stores in Taiwan so you’d hope they are doing something similar here too.

Pokémon merchandise

As you’d expect, there is a mountain of Pokémon merchandise to discover including a huge display of Pokémon plushies plus less expensive gifts and merchandise.

Whilst not on the scale of the Taipei Pokémon Center, it benefits from less crowds and is a nice place to browse gifts without the hustle and bustle of the main Pokémon Center.
