There really is a Coca-Cola themed 7-Eleven in Taipei – you can’t beat the ‘Real Thing’!

Most 7-Eleven stores are coloured red, green and white, but this particular themed 7-Eleven places the emphasis on red and white, Coca-Cola’s trademark colors.

Coca-Cola themed 7-Eleven in Taipei Taiwan

From the huge Coke bottle on the side of the store to the American style diner seating area and Cola museum upstairs, this is one unique Coca-Cola themed 7-Eleven.

Whilst one of the more mainstream themed 7-Elevens in Taiwan, this certainly isn’t the first!

From Mofusand to Hello Kitty stores, 7-Elevens in Taiwan are like no other 7-11s in the world. They have over 100 themed 7-Elevens including characters like Pokémon, Kanahei’s Small Animals, Ultraman plus Taiwan’s own Bugcat Capoo 7-Eleven.

Where is the Coca-cola themed 7-Eleven in Taiwan?

There are over 7,000 7-Elevens in Taiwan, and Taipei is home to the Coke x 7-Eleven themed store.

It is located in the Songshan area of Taipei, on Section 4, Bade Road – the nearest MRT Station is Nanjing Sanmin. Take exit 3 from the station and the themed 7-Eleven is a 5 minute walk.

Arriving at the Coca-Cola themed 7-Eleven

As you approach this Songshan 7-Eleven, the first thing you notice is colossal Coca-Cola bottle on the side of the exterior wall with the old slogan ‘Things Go Better with Coke’ plus a fake red brick exterior .

It looks like this advertising hoarding has been up for several years now as it is more a faded pink than the classic red!

Store Tour

The first thing to say about this particular themed 7-Eleven is that the downstairs section (the actual 7-11 shop) is actually VERY underwhelming compared to the stylings in other themed stores.

Downstairs is just a standard 7-Eleven with a few additional Coke panels and a Cola vending machine. It kind of feels like a missed opportunity.

So half-heartedly, we bought a Coke downstairs to take to the cooler cafe area on level 1.

The proper theming starts upstairs with the 7-Eleven cafe and seating area – head on up via the stairway that has a huge classic Coca Cola bottle sticker across several steps.

Coca-Cola themed cafe, diner and ‘museum’

The upstairs 7-Eleven seating area is transformed into a retro / vintage American style diner and Coca-Cola Museum (of sorts).

If you’ve bought any ready meals downstairs, you can eat them upstairs here on the red diner style tables and chairs. Plus there is a free toilet (which is a bonus if you’ve drank too much cola).

There are several Coke bottle shaped glass cabinets on walls showing all the different Coca cola bottle types and promotions over the years plus lots of vintage Coca-cola advertising – both American and Taiwanese advertising campaigns.

The walls are covered in huge advertising panels showing classic slogans like ‘Taste That Feeling’, ‘Make It Real’ and ‘Why are the Taiwanderers so fixated by themed 7-Elevens?!’ (yep, we made that last one up – but you can see our passion)!

One of the nicest design touches is the red and white ceiling panels that have been shaped to resemble a cut out of a classic Coca-Cola bottle.

If you’ve bought any ready meals downstairs, you can eat them upstairs here on the red diner style tables and chairs.

Overall, this is an OK themed 7-Eleven in Taipei but this Coke store isn’t as ‘Real Magic’ as some of the more colorful and Kawaii ones – if you are going to Songshan Creative Park already, then you might want to ‘pop’ along.
