It is located on the Dunhua North Road, in the Nanjing Fuxing area of Taipei – the nearest MRT Station is Taipei Arena station. Take exit 1 from the station and the themed 7-Eleven is a 5 minute walk away.

Who are STARLUX Airlines?

STARLUX is a Taiwan based airline, headquartered in Taipei that launched in 2020 – they now offer direct flights from Taipei and Taichung to such destinations as the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Macau and Singapore.

As far as we know, this is the only 7-Eleven STARLUX store to take flight. However, did you know there is also a Heineken themed 7-Eleven just 7 minutes walk away, complete with a Heineken lounge?

Inside the airport / airplane themed 7-Eleven

As you enter the STARLUX 7-Eleven, the first thing you notice is the seating area themed like an airplane – you can eat your 7-Eleven snacks as though you are sitting next to a STARLUX.

Look on the floor around the store and you’ll also see a small runway with arrows leading to the 7-Eleven cashiers (we bet it makes queuing in this store very easy).

There are lots of cool details in this themed 7-Eleven – you can look at a miniature airport model or watch in-flight movies (well, plane pictures) on the TV screen.

On the walls, there are several clocks showing time zones from all over the world.

Look up to the ceiling and you’ll also see runaway style lights and a huge neon STARLUX plane embedded in the roof (let’s just hope no real planes try to land).

Towards the back of the shop, this Taipei 7-Eleven also has various STARLUX ‘Star Wonderers’ graphics (not to be confused with the much better ‘Taiwanderers!).

These Kawaii style creations are their inflight cartoon characters and featured on their launch in-flight safety video.

STARLUX food and drink

We really want to say Taiwan 7-Eleven ready meals are not usually THIS ‘plane’ but we will resist…oh!

You can actually get in flight style STARLUX snacks and drinks in this particular 7-11 including the STARLUX coffee pods they serve on board – just don’t get STARLUX  coffee confused with Starbucks (now that could be a cool collaboration).

To help promote STARLUX’s daily flights from Los Angeles to Taipei, 7-Eleven Taiwan has in the past sold STARLUX airline style ready meals with snacks like roast pork rice, oolong ice dessert and Thai milk tea. They also did American style snacks like a STARLUX American hot-dog.
