7-Eleven Pokémon Taiwan Store In Kaohsiung

You may have heard about Taiwan’s only Pokémon Center in Taipei, but did you know there is also a Pokémon 7-Eleven store in Kaohsiung?

With a recent refurbishment in May 2024, the 7-Eleven Pokémon theme store Chonghui in Kaohsiung has all your Pokémon favorites like big Pikachu plushies, Nintendo Switch gaming, a Pokémon trading card battle area plus awesome arcade machines.

And yes, you can buy themed snacks and all your 7-Eleven fave foods too!

With epic theming and gaming galore, let’s check out the 7-Eleven Pokémon themed store! It is one of over 100 themed 7-Elevens in Taiwan which includes Snoopy, Ultraman, Hello Kitty and Taiwan’s very own Bugcat Capoo.

Where is Taiwan’s 7-Eleven Pokémon themed store?

As of Summer 2024, there is currently only one 7-Eleven Pokémon store in Kaohsiung / Taiwan.

Located in the Zuoying District, the Pokémon and Pikachu 7-Eleven is a short walk from both the Zuoying High Speed Rail (HSR) station and the Xin Zuoying local train station.

Arriving at Pokémon 7-Eleven Taiwan

The first thing you notice is how yellow and brightly coloured the store is – you certainly won’t miss it!

On the outside, there are huge billboards with all your favourite Pokémon characters plus Pikachu poking out on the store windows and ceilings – a very cool entrance!

There is also a huge wrap / mural outside the 7-11 featuring Charmander, Wingull, Ivysaur and more!

Pokémon 7-11 heaven

Once inside the store, you can see all the awesome attention to detail – this is peak Pokémon!

The store has been designed to resemble a magical forest with a bright blue sky. There are 7-11 Pokémon graphics all over the store including Gengar right behind the serving counter – gotta find them all!

You’ll also see several small Pikachus by the counter, plus characters hiding above all the fridges and chiller cabinets – literally ‘cool!’

7-Eleven Pokémon cafe

There is also a top themed seating area featuring all your favourite Pokémon characters.

Each seat resembles a Pokéball (sadly no Pokémon can lap out) plus the huge yellow tables feature the likes of Charmander and Squirtle the turtle.

You also eat Pokémon snacks like Pokémon soft serve ice-cream (which is bright yellow in colour and served in a branded container).

Pokémon merchandise

As you’d expect, there is a mountain of Pokémon merchandise to discover include a huge display of Pokémon plushies plus less expensive gifts and merchandise.

Whilst not on the scale of the Taipei Pokémon Center, it benefits from less crowds and is nice place to browse gifts without the hustle and bustle of the main Pokémon Center.

Pokémon gaming machines

Finally, as you would expect from a Pokémon themed 7-Eleven, there are ample arcade machines and interactive areas to enjoy including four Nintendo Switch trial Pokémon Plus machines, classic arcade games plus a Pokémon trading card area – let battle commence!
