What are the new Lucky Land prizes?
There are some big prizes to be won in the Lucky Land promo at Taiwan airports – although not everyone wins. Neither of us won when we recently took part in early October 2024 – boohoo!

When you register, you are given the choice of whether you want to enter for accommodation vouchers or prepaid cash-cards like iPass or EasyCards.
Taiwanderers Tip – book your Taiwan / Taipei hotels months in advance if you can as prices sometimes increase the nearer to your trip. If you use Agoda, you can book cancellable hotels so you can rebook with ease if you find a better deal or lower price nearer the time.

Main prizes to be won in the Lucky Land Draw
The Taiwan Lucky Land prizes and vouchers are as follows:
Taiwan Accommodation Vouchers up to the value of NT$5,000
Approx £120 or $155 USD. These are valid for 90 days from you winning / entering the country. Note that hotel vouchers can only be used on the official Taiwan Tourism list of “Participated Accommodations” and their rates may be higher than you find online elsewhere.
They can be used for selected hotel restaurants and spas as well – make sure to visit the official Taiwan Tourism list to see which hotels have this option. If the hotel offers use of their restaurants with the voucher you will se a dining icon, and if they offer spa usage you will see a spa icon. Check out our guide on how to use Lucky Land accommodation vouchers >
Pre-paid E-Ticket vouchers
EasyCard, iPass and iCash 2.0 card to the value of NT$5,000.

If entering the Lucky Land prize draw, we personally think you are best to go for the accommodation vouchers as you have a better chance of winning. Most of the prepaid cash cards have already been allocated as prizes.
If you do win a cashcard, just be aware the maximum single-use limit for the EasyCard is NT$1,500 and NT$1,000 for the iPass – both also have a max cap spend of NT$3,000 a day. iCash 2.0 has no such limits.

To register for the Lucky Draw, head to the official Taiwan Tourism Lucky Draw registration form here >
You will need to enter the following details on the application form:

- Your arrival airport and flight number / arrival time
- Departure details and length of stay

Once the Lucky Land application form is complete on the Taiwan Tourism site, you are emailed a QR code which you will need to show when you arrive at your designated Taiwan airport.

Which Taiwan airports have Lucky Land Booths?
You can play the Lucky Land prize draw if you are flying into the following airports:
- Taipei Taoyuan International Airport
- Taipei Songshan Airport
- Kaohsiung International Airport
- Taichung International Airport
Arriving in Taiwan – step by step guide to playing the Lucky Land Draw
We played the Lucky Land Draw at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 1 in early October but the method is the same at all participating Taiwan airports.
Once you’ve cleared immigration, picked up your bags and gone through customs, you’ll see signposts in the arrival halls to the Lucky Draw booths.

Join the likely queues (don’t worry – they’ll move fast) and get the QR code you were sent by email ready on your phone.

The Taiwan airports usually have free WiFi or just use a screenshot – also check out these Taiwan airport SIM / eSIM / Wifi rental deals with Klook >
Once at the front of the queue, go to the next available tablet or TV screen and follow the instructions that appear on screen.
There are various language settings you can change on the Lucky Land game screen including English and Mandarin.

All you do is scan your QR code on your phone in the window on the tablet – then a simple Lucky Land animation takes place (featuring the famous Taiwan bear in cartoon form).

On the tablet screen in front of you, a virtual token drops across the screen, which ultimately either falls into a ‘winning’ prize pot or a non-prize pot. The whole thing takes less than 30 seconds.

Alas neither of us won – however, if you are a Lucky Land winner, you then go to the desk next to the Lucky Land booth to claim your prize.
And so playing the Lucky Land prize draw in Taiwan is really as simple as that – good luck and happy travels in Taiwan!
